Ryosuke Itomi
Ryosuke is a former student-athlete who competed in distance running in Japan. He currently serves as a national distance head coach in Vanuatu, and is responsible for delivering the Kids Athletics program nationwide, even in remote islands and other inaccessible areas. Through his passion for sports, he strives to make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals and communities. With a master's degree in Development, he is dedicated to creating a new ecosystem by harnessing the transformative power of sports and integrating it into society.
The project seeks to revamp a trail running event in Vanuatu by establishing a community-based and inclusive organisational body. Its primary goal is to empower communities and marginalised populations. Additionally, the project aims to contribute to environmental protection, cultural preservation, and community development by promoting regenerative tourism.
