**BIO**

Paulina played basketball throughout her childhood and teenage years. After finishing school, she shifted her focus towards learning foreign languages and exploring new cultures. Currently, Paulina is conducting her Masters degree in Sport and Olympic Studies in Japan, with a focus on Olympism and Sustainable Development.

**PROJECT DESCRIPTION**

Paula has established “basketacademy” as a project combining her passions for basketball and intercultural learning. Its mission is to create global citizens through basketball, culture and education, in order to contribute to social development and international understanding. In March 2020, the basketacademy Youth Olympic Day was organised in collaboration with a partner organisation in Senegal. It combined workshops about the Olympic Values with a 3x3 basketball tournament. Future activities will comprise play-based educational workshops, events and intercultural basketball exchanges. In addition to this, an online platform for connecting, learning, and sharing is being established.
