Olerato uses advocacy, active citizenship and meaningful youth engagement to promote sustainable development in Botswana through strategic partnerships with the government, development partners and civil society organisations. She currently coordinates a programme called Let Youth Lead at Sentebale - an organisation that offers psychosocial support to young people living with HIV.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Box 4 Change is a grassroots development project that uses boxing and leadership training to advance the social well-being of children and young people (10-24 years old) in Botswana. Built on a foundation of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Olympic Values Education Programme, the project promotes fitness, cultivates a learning spirit, instils discipline and creates an environment of learning through fun and peer interaction. Through a series of leadership and social asset building sessions paired with sport (boxing), Box 4 Change participants are ensured confidence, discipline, physical and mental strength.
