Martim comes from Beja, a small city in Portugal. He’s been involved in sports since a young age, when he started practicing swimming at his local club. He is currently studying Sport Management with a determination to make the world a better place through sport.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Martim’s project aims to raise awareness of diabetes and sport, and to encourage diabetic children to practice sport in a safe, healthy and fun way.

The project is delivered in partnership with medical professionals, in the context of the children’s regular health check-ups. During the sessions, young patients with diabetes learn how to safely balance sport and physical activity with their health condition.
