Maggie Brennan

BIO

Maggie is Senior Coordinator of Games Operations and Delivery at the Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC). She is a member of the Commonwealth Youth Sport for Development and Peace Network, and is also a minor women’s hockey coach for the Nepean Girls Hockey Association.

Project description

Maggie runs the “Pass the Torch,” program which is an athlete-education programme dedicated to promoting sport to young people across Canada. It concentrates on building community leaders and inspiring Canada’s youth through sessions focused on athlete careers, well-being and healthy living, skills development, social responsibility and expression. The programme takes place through workshops and presentations in schools, training centres and large events all over the country and is delivered by Youth Olympians themselves. The objective is to inspire and impact youth in a way that they can see their full potential in sport, in life and influence future generations.
