Geewon Yoo

BIO

Geewon is a bachelor student at Korea University, majoring in Health Policy & Management. She began her journey towards becoming an international sports event organiser at PyeongChang2018 and represented Team Korea as an IOC Young Change-Maker at Buenos Aires 2018. She is passionate about the representation and inclusion of minorities in global sport.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Dream Cup is a children's football tournament involving multicultural junior teams from all over in South Korea. The event was successfully hosted in partnership with volunteer groups of professional players and coaching staff from the Korean football league. 80 children from seven regions took part,

Two teams were formed of children not enrolled in any sports clubs, who were trained for the tournament by student athlete volunteer coaches.

The student athletes in turn received CV consultancy from volunteer senior education students. Three of them additionally attended Athlete 365 sessions.
