Fabrice Kwizera

BIO

Fabrice is a national and regional judo champion, who also holds a Bachelor degree in nursing science. He is a member of the Burundi Athletes' Commission; a mentor for young athletes and vulnerable children; and captain and assistant coach of the national judo team.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Fabrice’s project, “Cultivating Peace and Developing the Country through Sport” addresses the issues of children in Bujumbura, where many live in poverty and social exclusion, without the means to go to school. The scale of the problem is a barrier to the progress of Burundi as a nation. This project aims to strengthen bonds of friendship, encourage dialogue and foster the sharing of knowledge by providing a useful focus and motivation for young and vulnerable children
