Erin Kennedy

BIO

Erin is Regional Development Manager for Rugby Americas North. She brings experience from her time with USA Rugby, Rugby Canada, and the IOC. She is a World Rugby Educator, holds a Master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology, and authored the children’s book ‘The Value of Rugby’.

Project description

Girls Rugby is a non-profit organisation in the United States that offers female empowerment through sport. Girls Rugby provides non-contact, flag rugby programming for girls under 14 in combination with life skills and positive core values. Programmes are offered in multiple states throughout the US with plans for international expansion in the coming years. The focus of the IOC Young Leaders project was to contribute resources towards programme expansion within the United States to help reach more young females and provide them with the tools they need to be successful in life.
