Babacar is a Senegalese database administrator and systems analyst, who spends his free time volunteering for multiple sports organisations. His contribution as an IOC Young Leader has seen him appointed to the IOC Digital & Technology Commission.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Babacar’s project addresses an increase in childhood diagnoses of nocommunicable disease including obesity, high/low blood pressure and diabetes. The project provides physical fitness activities, working with 140 orphans living in the SOS Children Village. Each participant is monitored by health professionals, with checks conducted before and during the programme. The children receive tailored advice for improving their nutrition and fitness.
