**BIO**

Andreas represented Cyprus as an IOC Young Leader at the Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018. He also attended the IOC Youth Olympic Summit in Tokyo 2018 and the ‘‘59th International Session for Young Participants’’ of the International Olympic Academy in Olympia, Greece, in June 2019.

**PROJECT DESCRIPTION**

Andreas’ project uses basketball to address issues of racism, xenophobia and social exclusion in Cypriot elementary schools with high numbers of non-native language speakers. The programme uses appearances by foreign basketball stars to teach the children about cultural acceptance and social inclusion through sport. It also includes a mini-tournament, featuring mixed teams of Greek and other native language speakers. This is followed by a medal award ceremony and celebration.
