Sonali Shah

Sonali Shah is currently a host of BBC One’s Escape to the Country and major events for BBC One. She appears regularly on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme and appears on BBC Breakfast.
Shah is well known for being one of the faces of BBC Sport and, before that, a long-serving presenter of Newsround. She has been heard on both BBC Radio 2 and BBC Asian Network, where she hosted the Phone-in; she has recently been on BBC London hosting various shows.
Shah was part of the presentation teams for the Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010, London 2012 and Glasgow 2014 and joined the BBC Crimewatch team in 2015. She was a regular host on the National Lottery Live Draw on BBC One.
Shah is known for her roles in the BBC’s coverage of many marquee live events over recent years. These include the Queen's 90th birthday, the Royal Wedding, the Lord Mayor’s Show, Wimbledon, the London Marathon, the Boat Race, the Epsom Derby and the 2011 Cricket World Cup.
