Muffy Davis is a seven-time Paralympic medallist in two sports, Alpine skiing and cycling; a three-time world champion; Guinness world-record holder; US Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame Inductee; world adventurer; speaker; political candidate; wife and mother. Paralysed from a ski racing accident in Sun Valley, Idaho, when she was just 16, Davis has not let her disability slow her down or keep her from realising her dreams.

A graduate of Stanford University, Davis travels the globe, speaking to and teaching people about their potential and how to push through their fears and fulfil their dreams. She has volunteered for years in the sports political arena as a voice for athletes on numerous committees and commissions. Currently, Davis is an elected member of the International Paralympic Committee's Governing Board, the United States Olympic Committee's Paralympic Advisory Committee, a Board member of LA 2028 and member of an IOC commission.

In 2012, Davis dominated the London Paralympic Games in road cycling, winning three gold medals, which earned her a Guinness world record for the most gold medals won in road cycling at a Paralympic Games.

Of all her accomplishments, Davis is proudest of her strong, talented 9-year-old daughter, Elle.

Using the unique power of sport to bring people together, the Olympism in Action Forum saw a range of global players, including Olympic Movement stakeholders, athletes, private and public sector leaders, NGO representatives, academics, artists and the media come together to talk on topical contemporary issues. Chosen because of their ability to effect change and their wide range of sometimes differing opinions, the speakers led lively debates and seeked to challenge received wisdom to inspire new ways of thinking.
