Fernanda Russo is an Olympic shooter from Argentina. She will be acting as a Young Change-Maker at the Youth Olympic Games 2018 in Buenos Aires.
At just 18 years old, Russo has already had an accomplished shooting career. Currently, she is ranked 24th in the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF)’s world ranking. She competed for Argentina at the Olympic Games Rio 2016, where she placed 20th. Two years prior, she competed in the Youth Olympic Games Nanjing 2014, winning a silver medal as part of the international mixed team and placing 13th in the individual competition.
Other shooting accomplishments include: 9th and 4th place at the 2018 and 2017 ISSF World Cups; a silver medal at the Toronto 2015 Pan-American Games; a gold medal in both the individual and team events at the 2018 South American Games in Cochabamba, Bolivia; and gold medals in the individual and team competitions at the 2017 South American Cup in Rio de Janeiro.
