Looking to venture into sports marketing in a move to attain self-reliance, the NOC of Malawi held a sports marketing seminar from 2 to 4 December in Lilongwe. Speaking on the sidelines of the seminar, NOC President Oscar Kanjala said that most sports organisations in Malawi were not developing due to their excessive dependence on government subsidies and other financial support. He underlined the need for sports organisations to develop marketing products and strategies to help them generate revenue for their operations in the long term. More details here.
