18 December 2023 - The 2023 edition of Olympic Day took place on 2 December in the city of Bouaké. The event, organised by the NOC, brought together more than 3,000 people, including many children – both girls and boys – and elderly people. NOC First Vice-President Jean-Marie Allah Kouamé, Mayor of Bouaké Amadou Koné, who is also the Transport Minister and the ambassador of the event, Adama Soumbia, Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Sport and Leisure, and several sports movement stakeholders also took part in the traditional walk that finished at Dijbo Sounkalo lycée, where they participated in a fitness session. Olympic Day 2023 was a chance to encourage the population of Bouaké to do regular sporting activity and learn more about some of the Olympic sports and disciplines, thanks to sports demonstrations by 18 national federations. The IOC President’s Olympic Day video message was also shown.

11 September 2020 - The Côte d’Ivoire NOC celebrated Olympic Day 2020 at the Akouédo-village school centre, at the end of July. The NOC donated 250 handwashing kits, including buckets with taps, and 750 containers of hand sanitiser to the Pre-school and Primary Education Department in Cocody-Akouédo, in Abidjan. All the pupils taking part and their carers received Olympic Day 2020 masks and T-shirts. NOC Vice-President Lucien Kouakou explained that this donation was part of the solidarity efforts in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was also attended by several athletes, including Olympians Marie-Josée Ta Lou (athletics) and Koné Roméo (judo), and Paralympic gold medallist Koné Oumar.

12 june 2020 - In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Côte d’Ivoire NOC has been working with the national government to help the population, in particular vulnerable families. At the initiative of NOC President and IOC honorary member Lassana Palenfo, the NOC has donated foodstuffs and other goods to the state through the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Cohesion and Combatting Poverty. The NOC has also donated five million CFA francs to the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene to purchase medical equipment. These donations were made by NOC First Vice-President Georges N’goan (right of photo), in the presence of the NOC Executive Board members.

02 September 2019 - To mark Olympic Day, the Côte d’Ivoire NOC ran a “Get Moving, Learning and Discovering” initiative for the people of Attécoubé, a commune in  Abidjan. Representing Lassana Palenfo, the NOC President and an IOC Honorary Member, Vice-President for Communication Namama Fadiga thanked the local authorities and the people of Attécoubé for their turn-out and support, before relaying a message from the IOC President. The event featured a number of activities, including sports demonstrations in judo, wrestling, athletics, gymnastics, karate, archery, cycling and boxing. In addition, a level 1 national technical course for judo coaches was organised, under the auspices of the NOC, at the National Youth and Sports Institute in Abidjan at the end of June. 

18 april 2019 - On 3 April, the Côte d'Ivoire NOC sponsored the “VDS” radio programme, in a special 1,000th edition broadcast. The NOC’s Executive Committee was represented by 1st Vice-President Georges Ngoan, Namama Fadiga, 4th Vice-President in charge of communication, Secretary General Nah Aminatah Fofana and legal adviser Souleymane Sakho. During the programme, they expressed their congratulations and encouragements to Radio Côte d'Ivoire and its journalists for their work, and talked about the missions and objectives of the NOC, which is a longstanding partner of VDS, and the NOC’s work for the sports movement.

18 March 2019 - The Côte d’Ivoire NOC has signed a sponsorship contract with the Confédération Générale des Entreprises de Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI) for the Youth Olympic Games 2022 Programme. The document was signed on 12 March in Abidjan by NOC 1st Vice-President Georges Joseph N'goan and CGECI President Jean-Marie Ackah. Designed by the NOC, this Programme is aimed at helping Ivorian athletes aged from 9 to 13 prepare for the African Youth Games in Maseru (Lesotho), from 25 February to 6 March 2022, and the Youth Olympic Games 2022 in Dakar (Senegal). The Programme will consist of identifying talented male and female athletes in various disciplines, who will then follow a training and preparation programme until 2022, which will include taking part in international competitions.
