28 february 2020 - The Belarus NOC hosted a ceremony celebrating the medallists of the Winter Youth Olympic Games Lausanne 2020. The young athletes were presented with NOC certificates and prizes from the Sports Ministry and President’s Sports Club in recognition of their outstanding sporting achievements. The celebration was attended by the NOC First Vice-President, Viktor Lukashenko; the Minister of Sports and Tourism, Sergey Kovalchuk; and the Executive Director of the President’s Sports Club, Andrei Karpovich. 14 May 2019 - On 20 April, the staff of the NOC of Belarus took part in the national cleaning day, at the “Olympic” Sports and Recreation Complex. They helped to landscape, clean and set up the site for the beach football competitions of the 2nd European Games, taking place in June. Working with the NOC staff were the head coach of the Belarusian beach football team, Nicholas Alvarado, his assistant, Jaime Paz, and the Secretary General of the Belarus Beach Football Association, Alexander Baranov. 18 September 2018 - Around 50 Minsk preliminary and secondary schools students were invited to the headquarters of the NOC of Belarus for a lesson from four-time Games biathlon champion Darya Domracheva, Beijing 2008 canoeing champion Aliaksandr Bahdanovich, Sochi 2014 freestyle aerials champion Anton Kushnir and Belarus’ top race walker Nastassia Yatsevich. During this Olympic lesson, the young guests – winners and medallists of various international competitions, asked their senior colleagues some topical questions such as life hacks to tackle stress, whether they needed days off during periods of hard training, and the best ways to relax. In order to motivate the students throughout the year, the NOC handed out special Olympic-themed assignment books. 27 July 2018 - Three sets of postage stamps – issued in honour of the “Medallists of the XXIII Olympic and XII Paralympic Winter Games in PyeongChang” – were officially cancelled at a special ceremony on 20 July at the headquarters of the NOC of Belarus. Each set of stamps was devoted to one of the events in which Belarus won a medal and to the athletes involved: aerials gold medallist Hanna Huskova, mass start silver medallist Darya Domracheva, and the gold medal-winning biathlon relay team, composed of Domracheva, Nadezhda Skardino, Iryna Kryuko and Dzinara Alimbekava, all of whom attended the ceremony. The success of the country’s Paralympians was also honoured through stamps, and Paralympic champions Sviatlana Sakhanenka and Yuri Holub, and medallists Dzmitri Loban and Lidia Grafeeva, were in attendance.
