Born in Chile, raised and educated in the USA and now working across the globe while residing in Amsterdam, Maria Bobenrieth has more than 20 years of international business management experience working for major brands, applying innovative multi-sector approaches to solving business and social challenges.

For over a decade, Bobenrieth worked in various capacities at Nike, most recently serving as the Global Director of Community Investments, where in 2007 she supported Astrid Aafjes in launching Women Win, the world’s leading organisation for leveraging the power of sport to equip adolescent girls with the ability to attain their rights. Bobenrieth served as Women Win’s first Chair of the Board of Directors, and in 2010 was named Executive Director.

A serial social entrepreneur, Bobenrieth believes that investing in girls is the key to our collective future. She is a passionate advocate of intra- and cross-sector approaches, in addition to sport as a powerful tool for change.

Bobenrieth holds a bachelor’s degree in international business and a master’s in international management, and she has done extensive postgraduate work in cross-sector partnerships.
