Meet our new colleague Ana Tajada Lostao!
In February, we welcomed Ana Tajada Lostao as the latest addition to the IKL team. With a Master’s in Social Applied Psychology from the University of Geneva, Ana previously worked with the IOC’s Human Resources Department for two years. In her new role as a Project Manager for Insights and Learning, she will now contribute to supporting Games optimisation by providing insights and learning opportunities to the IOC, and to OCOGs and their delivery partners. During the coming months, she will be focusing particularly on the preparations for the Paris 2024 Observers Programme.
Close collaboration with OCOGs
“We work closely with the various OCOGs to provide them with insights and to deliver meaningful learning experiences to them,” said Ana. “For example, as part of the Observers Programme, we are collaborating with the Paris 2024 IKL team and are in regular contact through different channels. Having regular catch-ups, a common goal and clear and open communication are, in my opinion, key to our successful collaboration.”
Asked about her expectations and what she is looking forward to, Ana replied:
“I am very much looking forward to applying the knowledge and competencies I acquired during my experience in talent management to the Olympic Movement and the context of the Games. I am confident that there are lots of parallels and synergies to be harnessed, and I am really excited to learn as much as I can about the IOC’s mission and work closer to the Olympic Games.”
Ana’s enthusiasm for sport is also reflected in her private life. She enjoys skiing in the Swiss Alps in winter and ran her first 10km race in Lausanne at the end of April.
Ana concludes: “My first few weeks in my new role have been really exciting and quite busy, since I was transitioning from one role to another. Thankfully, both my previous and my current teams have been extremely supportive and understanding. I am now fully onboarded and enjoying every aspect of my new position!”
Please join us in giving Ana a warm welcome and wishing her the best for her new role with the IOC’s IKL team!
