IKL launches the Games Learning Platform!
Over its rich 125-year history, the IOC has built up a unique understanding and knowledge base of what it takes to deliver successful Games. Our new Insights and Learning Programme aims to leverage that experience to support OCOGs in the delivery of sustainable Games, ensuring that the IOC’s expertise and insights are more readily available, along with first-hand experiences and best practices from other Games editions.
To support our new Insights and Learning Programme, we are excited to announce the roll-out of the Games Learning Platform (GLP), which will act as the single point of entry into IOC content that supports Games delivery. Through one link at your fingertips on desktop or mobile, you will be able to access thousands of assets, from OCOG-produced content to learning journeys and more, pushed to you according to your OCOG, Functional Area and role. Our new innovative platform will become part of the core toolkit offered to stakeholders, alongside existing solutions like the Games Delivery Hubs and Smartsheet.
What’s to come?
Over the course of this year and beyond, we will be focused on developing new and unique content, covering key topics from executive leadership to operational readiness and Games fundamentals. Our focus is on the most critical learnings that only the IOC and past OCOGs can provide – ensuring content is presented in user-friendly formats for the modern learner, with an emphasis on digital-first, bite-sized content that can be easily accessed on the go. The GLP has now been rolled out to the IOC Games Management team, and the same will be done with the OCOGs in the coming months.
Have fun exploring the new GLP, and don’t hesitate to contact ikl@olympic.org for any comments or questions, or to share feedback!
