The Let’s Move Street Challenge, supported by Worldwide Olympic Partner Samsung, invited people everywhere to showcase their best moves and creative skills across a host of award categories in BMX, breaking and skateboarding, by sharing a video of up to 30 seconds. Thousands entered from all corners of the world.

Each entry will now be closely reviewed and scored by a panel of expert judges and influential faces from across the three sports, including BMX rider Nina Buitrago (USA), skateboarder Jean-Baptiste Gillet (France) and B-Girl Narumi (Japan). They will crown 21 winners, who will also receive an all-access trip to watch some of the best athletes in their sport competing for their ticket to Paris 2024 at the first Olympic Qualifier Series in Shanghai.

In addition to this, fans around the world are invited to watch the competition and have their say, by voting for their favourite video entries in the “fan favourite” awards. Tens of thousands have already cast their vote on Olympics.com/street-challenge, with voting closing on 12 November.

All the winners will be announced during a one-off show on 12 November that will bring together athletes and fans from BMX, breaking and skateboarding in a celebration of these sports and the incredible stories and communities that surround them. Fans can join a live chat to share their thoughts and reactions to the winners, and have the chance to win exclusive Let’s Move Street Challenge merchandise.

The Let’s MoveStreet Challenge aims to inspire and enable young people to embrace the joy of movement and a more active lifestyle by practising urban sports. It builds on the successes of the IOC’s Let’s Move initiative, launched on Olympic Day 2023 following the World Health Organization’s finding that one in four adults and over 80 per cent of young people do not meet the recommended minimum activity levels needed for optimum health.

Two of the barriers to physical activity most often cited by young people are ability and access. Sports including BMX, breaking and skateboarding are often accessible, inclusive and community-driven. Through this competition, the IOC wants to inspire and enable more young people to move using urban sport.

Watch the entries and vote for the “fan favourite” award now. The Olympic Let’s Move Street Challenge Awards show, supported by Samsung, will be streaming on Olympics.com on Sunday 12 November, at 7pm CET.
