Reimagined Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 app

Paris 2024 Olympics: The official app of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 is a vital tool for fans witnessing the magic of the Games firsthand in Paris and those enjoying all the sporting action all over the world.

The app has been completely redesigned for Paris 2024 to include:

  • New spectator-specific features, including improvements to the schedule, medals and results sections, as well as the live blog so that users have instant access to all the information they need.
  • Customisable schedules, a medal table and results, personalised push notifications for breaking news updates and Games results based on fans’ favourite sports and teams.
  • Olympic Shop, the one-stop destination for all Olympic and Paralympic merchandise, as well as original Olympic news, features and content, and trivia games.
  • My Events" section for fans on the ground to manage their ticketed and non-ticketed sessions (complementing the Paris 2024 ticket app), with a detailed checklist of all the information they will need to get to the venue and a wide range of features to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Interactive Olympic Games map allows fans to chart their Paris 2024 experience and explore all the must-see events from official venues and fan zones and much more

Immersive and interactive AR features

Fans can join in the fun with over 15 unique Olympic augmented reality (AR) features available through the official Olympics app, on the Olympics’ official SnapChat handle, at competition venues and on the streets of Paris.

In Paris, fans can take a step back in time to experience the Olympic Games Paris 1924 and activate real-time Olympic records through an in-city AR experience at iconic landmarks Champs Élysées, Hôtel de Ville and Saint Paul.

From anywhere, experience the joy of the Olympic Games with interactive lenses, including playing with the official Paris 2024 mascot and opportunities to show support for national teams with flag lenses and the Refugee Olympic Team.

For the first time, the official Paris 2024 poster also features AR, with an immersive experience bringing the intricate artwork to life digitally and fans closer to the Games.

25,000 posts planned across 40 Olympic social handles

@Olympic social handles, together with Paris 2024, will bring all the magic of the Olympic Games to fans across the world, with 40 different handles, in 9 languages, delivering an estimated 25,000 posts across the two weeks.

Extensive coverage includes sporting highlights, unique medal graphics to digitally celebrate every medal won during the Games; an array of content and activation highlights from Worldwide Olympic Partners; daily creative collaboration features with a curated network of artists and creators; and athlete-led content telling the personal stories beyond the field of play and diving into the unique and iconic Parisian culture.

More opportunities to interact with curated digital platform collaborations

  • On WhatsApp, a brand-new official Olympic Games channel will take fans behind the scenes of the Olympics, delivering timely updates and athlete content alongside a new Olympic themed sticker pack. Users of Messenger and Instagram Direct can customise their conversations with an Olympic-themed Chat Theme.
  • On Facebook and Instagram, Olympic fans can show their best moves with a “Paris 2024 Let’s Move Challenge”. They can enjoy the best of past Olympic highlights, and Paris 2024 moments on Facebook.
  • A dedicated Olympics Content Hub on TikTok will also offer curated Olympic content to fans, including sporting highlights from Media Rights-Holders, athlete-led content, content and activations from Worldwide Olympic Partners and daily creative collaboration features from a curated network of artists and creators. On a interactive hub, fans will also have the opportunity to win Olympic-themed prizes with an interactive experience.
  • Fans can keep up to date with dedicated sections on Google Search with the latest schedules, results and medal counts, and watch top video highlights and recaps from Media Rights-Holders around the world. The most Searched Playground will feature Phryges, the Paris 2024 mascot, as one of the hidden items in an interactive experience where fans can test their knowledge of legendary athletes, iconic sports and the vibrant culture of Paris.
  • Keep up to date on favourite teams, athletes and sports at Paris 2024 through the Microsoft product ecosystem, including Windows and Bing.
  • Dedicated Paris 2024 content sections on YouTube will include Olympic content from the Olympic ecosystem. Collaborating with the Games’ Media Rights-Holders, popular creators on the platform will be producing content as part of the coverage of Paris 2024, with exclusive behind-the-scenes access to tell stories from their own unique perspective.

Olympic Creator Programme

Paris 2024 will also feature the first-ever Olympic Creator Programme, in collaboration with Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, inviting content collaborators outside the world of sport to experience all the magic of the Olympic Games. Sharing their experience will bring unique, diverse and creative perspectives for fans to follow.

Olympics.com is the digital destination for fans to find breaking sports news, video highlights and original sports series.

During Paris 2024, Olympics.com will offer bespoke content in 11 languages, and live blogs in French, English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese and Mandarin, and podcasts in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

Coverage will include everything from previews, athlete interviews (before, during and after the Games), insights from now retired Olympic legends, unique behind-the-scenes coverage of surfing in Tahiti, plus daily highlights of the splendour of Paris and the unique spirit of the Olympic Games.

Fans will be able to customise medal tables and schedules, selecting their favourite teams, sports and athletes.

New Play hub on Olympics.com and app

The Play hub is the fan experience on Olympics.com, with exclusive opportunities from experiencing live meet-and-greets with Olympians for chances to receive a digital autograph or win Paris 2024 merchandise.

People will also be able to sign up and vote on their favourite moments, win Paris 2024 prizes, and be featured on the fan social wall.

Olympic Rewards Platform
