IOC EB approves athlete changes of nationality for Beijing 2022

During its meeting today in Tokyo, the IOC Executive Board approved the following nationality changes for the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022.

The EB granted the requested exemption to the three-year waiting period, with the prior agreement of the International Federations and National Olympic Committees concerned, in accordance with paragraph 2 of the Bye-law to Rule 41 of the Olympic Charter.

  • Mr Romed Baumann – Alpine Skiing – from Austria to Germany
  • Mr Carlos Gerber – Snowboard – from Switzerland to Cape Verde
  • Mr Nicholas Novák – Freestyle Skiing – from USA to Czech Republic
  • Mr Matej Svancer – Freestyle Skiing – from Czech Republic to Austria
