In July, Isabeau Perez joined the IOC IKL team for a one-year internship to support the Games Insights and Learning area. In her role, Isabeau works closely with the OCOGs of Paris 2024, Milano Cortina 2026 and LA28.

Holding both Swiss and Spanish nationality, Isabeau completed high school in June and is hoping to do a Bachelor of Information Science degree at the Geneva University of Applied Sciences, which requires a 12-month internship in the field prior to the course of study.

“For me, working at the IOC is a real privilege because I am such a big sports fan,” says Isabeau, who likes to go swimming and to the gym in her free time. “It's a place that brings together people around a shared passion, which is important for me. I am proud to be part of this team.”

The internship will help Isabeau find out what she wants to do in the future, and provide her with many important, intercultural learning opportunities. Isabeau explains: “Working together with people from so many different countries and cultures is an invaluable experience. At times, communication can be complicated and challenging, but it’s fascinating to see that we always find a solution. During the last few months, I have learnt a lot about teamwork, which will be very important for my professional future. Last but not least, I am also improving my English.”

Isabeau acquired some work experience during two previous internships, but in the local context.

Her conclusion: “I am really enjoying this internship. My manager, Noémie Bommottet, is always there for me and teaching me many new things. The team is great, and it’s a real pleasure to wake up every morning to go to work – a big thank-you to all of them for their warm welcome. These are exciting times, and I am really looking forward to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games even though I will no longer be at the IOC by then.”
