1986:
Inauguration of the first
Olympic House in Vidy

The work of Pedro Ramirez Vázquez (MEX) and Jean-Pierre Cahen (SUI), Olympic House was officially opened on 12 October 1986 by IOC President Juan Antonio Samaranch, Lausanne Mayor Paul-René Martin and Swiss Federal Councillor Jean-Pascal Delamuraz.

The entrance featured a white marble portico, decorated with the Olympic rings, a gift from the Association of International Olympic Winter Sports Federations. The first Olympic House was located next to the Château de Vidy.
