During the Olympic Games, Place de la Concorde will be the beating heart of urban sports and urban cultures. In addition to the four arenas that will host the 3×3 basketball, street and park skateboarding, BMX freestyle and breaking events, the Parc Urbain will offer a unique programme of exciting events to discover each day.
From DJ sets to sports demonstrations, artistic performances, warm-ups by athletes before events, athlete training sessions and taster sessions to discover the urban sports in the competition areas not being used, spectators with a ticket for one of the day’s events and those with a ticket for the Parc Urbain will be able to enjoy a wide selection of activities around the Games, urban cultures and sports, to relax, have fun and enjoy the celebratory atmosphere and the spirit of the Games.
A DEDICATED SPACE FOR URBAN CULTURES
This site will be the first in the history of the Games to group together the various urban disciplines in one location. Around the events, a comprehensive programme of sports activities and artistic offerings linked to urban cultures will help create an outstanding Parc Urbain where spectators for the urban events and “Parc Urbain” ticket holders will be able to enjoy this venue’s atmosphere, during virtually the entire Games period.
When they access the Parc Urbain, visitors will be able to:
- watch screenings of competitions on big screens
- watch the athlete training and warm-up sessions in the build-up to the competitions
- take part in taster sessions to discover various sports
- watch sports demonstrations in the competition areas not being used for the day’s events
- take part in cultural and artistic activities combining urban cultures and the heritage of the world’s most beautiful city, all accompanied each day by DJs who will take turns to help create a vibrant atmosphere in the Parc Urbain throughout the day.
- enjoy the many different dining services available on site and also relax in the chill zones that will be created in the Parc Urbain.
WHO IS THE PARC URBAIN OPEN TO?
People holding tickets for the day’s events will have access to the Parc Urbain before and after accessing the arena where their event will take place.
To access the Parc Urbain (outside of the Olympic competitions), tickets are on sale for €24. They will be valid for a single entry, which means that it will not be possible to leave the site and return later in the day. A total of 25,000 people will be able to access the La Concorde at the same time.
When “Parc Urbain” ticket holders leave the site, new tickets will be released for sale in real time to keep the venue at its maximum capacity of 25,000 people. Tickets will be resold exclusively online through Paris 2024’s official ticketing.
WHEN WILL THE PARC URBAIN BE OPEN?
The Parc Urbain will be open:
- on 28 July from 10:30 to 19:00
- on 30 and 31 July from 12:00 to 23:00
- on 1 August from 11:00 to 23:30
- on 2 August from 11:00 to 23:00
- on 3 and 4 August from 16:00 to 22:30
- on 5 August from 16:00 to 23:30
- on 6 and 7 August from 11:00 to 19:00
- on 9 and 10 August from 14:30 to 22:00
