On Sunday, reigning world champion PV Sindhu aims to become the first Indian woman - and only the second Indian ever - to win two individual Olympic medals.

On Saturday, PV Sindhu fell to second seed Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei in the semis and will take on He Bingjiao in the Tokyo Olympics badminton singles bronze medal match.

If she does get bronze, PV Sindhu will join wrestler Sushil Kumar as the only Indians to win two individual Olympic medals.

Indian boxer Satish Kumar will be assured of an Olympic medal if he wins his quarter-final bout against world champion Bakhodir Jalolov of Uzbekistan.

The Indian men’s hockey team plays Great Britain in a quarter-final match on Sunday. Manpreet Singh’s men will be chasing a first Olympic semi-finals spot since the 1980 Moscow Games - the last time India won a hockey gold or a medal of any type.

Golfers Anirban Lahiri and Udayan Mane will be ending their campaigns at Tokyo 2020 while equestrian Fouaad Mirza competes in the second stage of the individual eventing.
