Some of the world’s best sailors took a step towards the Paris 2024 Olympic Games at the 2023 Sailing World Championships in the Dutch capital The Hague.

There were 107 quota spots for Paris 2024 on offer with 14 world titles awarded across the 10 Olympic classes, with Paralympic class action also taking place.

More than 1200 participants and 922 boats were at the 2023 edition of the event, which takes place every four years. The competition in the Hague is the sixth time the Sailing World Championships have been held.

As National Olympic Committees have the exclusive authority for the representation of their respective countries at the Olympic Games, athletes' participation at the Paris Games depends on their NOC selecting them to represent their delegation at Paris 2024.
