The Barclays Women’s Super League is gradually approaching the business end of the season with less than 10 matchdays to go.

This upcoming weekend of football, matchday 15 to be more specific, could be a major player in how the race for the top three and the title unfolds, as well as having a say in the fight to avoid relegation.

At the top end of the table, each Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal will be in action – with the first two going head-to-head.

Bottom of the table Leicester City are chasing the pack of teams just above them, with just five points separating the bottom five teams.

Ahead of yet another big week of WSL action, here are the key things to know…

Before we look into the complete fixture list, here's a look at why Sunday 12 March could be a decisive one at both ends of the table.

The big story from this weekend will be that of Chelsea hosting Manchester United at Kingsmeadow in a potential top-of-the-table encounter, pending the result of the former’s midweek fixture, as Marc Skinner’s United lead the way going into the clash.

Chelsea has the upper hand in all but one of the previous meetings between the Blues and the Reds, a draw being the only other outcome. A first-ever win could prove a season-defining three points as United go in search of the title and a Champions League spot for next season.

After a difficult start to their season, Manchester City have clawed back ground on the top three and now currently sit second in the table having put a bit of daylight between themselves and fourth-placed Arsenal. The Gunners, however, have played two fewer games.

With just five points separating the bottom five teams, the fight to stay in the top flight of women’s football is well and truly alive.

The pick of the bunch is arguably eighth-placed Liverpool hosting tenth-placed Tottenham Hotspur. The current gap between both sides is merely two points, meaning a win for the away side sees them to a big step away from the drop; should the hosts come out on top, however, they will give themselves a five-point breathing space between themselves and Spurs below them.
