Tokyo Olympics, 200m women’s final – where to watch Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Gabrielle Thomas, Elaine Thompson Herah live
Can Jamaican Elaine Thompson Herah win a sprint double at Tokyo 2020? Watch the Olympics women’s 200m live!
Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and her Jamaican team-mate Elaine Thompson Herah along with Gabrielle Thomas the USA will make for an exciting women’s 200m final at the Olympic Stadium on Tuesday.
Global star Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, 34, needs no introduction at the Olympics. In the past four editions of the Games, the Jamaican has collected a total of seven medals (two golds, four silvers and a bronze), her most recent being the 100m silver at Tokyo 2020.
Her Jamaican team-mate Elaine Thompson Herah has been impressive with 100m gold-winning performances at the Tokyo 2020 and Rio 2016 Olympics. Elaine’s personal best of 21.66s in 200m, second-fastest this season, will be tough to match.
Debutant Gabrielle Thomas of the USA is likely to make it difficult for Jamaican sprinters. Gabrielle’s personal best of 21.61 clocked at the 2020 US Olympic trials made her the second-fastest woman of all time in the 200m.
World No. 2 Shaunae Miller-Uibo of Bahrain is another top contender. Shaunae is the Rio Olympics gold medallist in the 400m.
World No. 4 Mujinga Kambundji of Switzerland and world No. 5 Marie-Josee Ta Lou of Ivory Coast will also be an interesting watch.
