"This is for you." Jürgen Klopp dedicated the Premier League title win to Liverpool supporters.

A 30-year long wait for a league title came to an end for Liverpool as they were crowned champions of England on Thursday.

With Manchester City unable to get a win against Chelsea, the Reds clinched their first top-flight title since 1990.

In what has been a record-breaking season so far for Liverpool, Klopp’s men have already accumulated 86 points from 31 matches in the Premier League.

They won 28, drew 2 and lost just 1 game in the league so far.

Here are Liverpool's highlights of the season:

Liverpool's best matches in 2019/20

Aston Villa 1-2 Liverpool

Even though this Liverpool team has become the fastest to wrap up the Premier League title with seven games to spare, the road to the elusive trophy has not been easy.

On November 2, the Reds visited Villa Park.

Six points separated Liverpool and Manchester City at that point, with Pep Guardiola's team set to visit Anfield the next week. It was a must-win game for Liverpool.

Aston Villa took the lead in the 21st minute and were looking at home against the European champions.

Liverpool were finding it tough to break down a resolute Villa defence which defended a 1-0 lead until the 87th minute.

Until Andy Robertson scored the equaliser, arriving at the far post to head it home.

Then in stoppage time, Sadio Mane scored a dramatic winner from a Trent Alexander-Arnold corner to give Liverpool a late win and crucial three points.

Liverpool 3-1 Manchester City

In the following week, Manchester City came calling to Anfield in what was billed as the clash of the season.

Liverpool's gegenpressing (counter-pressing) was at its fluent best that night as the hosts raced to a 2-0 lead in just under 15 minutes through sensational goals from Fabinho and Mohamed Salah.

Sadio Mane then made it 3-0 in the second half to guarantee an emphatic win which also opened up a nine-point gap at the top.

Leicester City 0-4 Liverpool

The Reds produced a Boxing Day special against Leicester at the King Power Stadium.

Coming back from Qatar after securing the Club World Cup, this was a tricky away fixture for Liverpool.

With fixtures piling up in a busy festive period, this was the kind of test which could have proved to be slippery for Liverpool.

But Liverpool showed up with their usual free-flowing attacking football and got the better of the Foxes in what was a dominant display.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was the star of the show as he delivered two assists and scored a brilliant counter-attacking goal to hand Liverpool a 4-0 victory.

Liverpool's best players in 2019-20

Jordan Henderson has been an inspirational leader for Liverpool on and off the field.

Putting in some industrious displays throughout the season, Henderson is also in the race for the PFA Player of the Year award at the end of the footballing year.

His work rate and tenacity to win the ball back perfectly represents the style of football that Jürgen Klopp has brought with him to Merseyside.

Henderson has scored three goals and made five assists this season with one of his most important strikes coming against Wolves at the Molineux - a headed goal that broke the deadlock for Liverpool in a tough away game.

Sadio Mane

The London 2012 Olympian has been Liverpool's clutch player and the go-to guy this season.

Scoring important strikes throughout the season, Mane has come onto his own for the Reds in the 2019/20 campaign.

He has 15 league goals to his name so far, netting winners against the likes of Aston Villa, Wolves, Norwich and Bournemouth.

Virgil van Dijk

Carrying on his impressive form from last season, Virgil van Dijk, along with Alisson Becker, have been the foundation on which Jürgen Klopp has created this title-winning side.

Conceding just 21 goals so far in the Premier League, van Dijk's assured performances at the back have again proved the notion of 'attack wins you games, defence wins you titles' right.

His most iconic moment this season was his towering header against Liverpool's biggest rivals Manchester United at Anfield which led the Reds to a comfortable 2-0 win.

Mohamed Salah

Breaking the 20-goal mark in all competitions again this season, Mohamed Salah has been one of the most consistent performers in world football since joining Liverpool.

This season, Salah has scored 17 Premier League league goals and is in the running for his third consecutive Golden Boot award.

Reaffirming his status as a big-game player, the Egyptian has scored some delightful and critical goals this season.

Be it his weaving-run goals against Arsenal and Manchester United or his backheel against Watford, Salah was a key figure in delivering Liverpool their 19th league title.

Alisson Becker

Despite missing three months through injury this season, Alisson has again been Liverpool's crucial cog in the wheel.

With 12 clean sheets to his name, joint-highest in the league, Alisson is on course to retain his Golden Glove gong.

His assured distribution and handling of the ball make him Liverpool's first line of attack which was evident in his stunning assist to Mohamed Salah against Manchester United.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

Making the right-back spot his own in the last season, the local Liverpool lad has improved leaps and bounds in the 19/20 campaign.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been one of Liverpool's best players and has time and again provided evidence of his pinpoint delivery from the right wing - an integral part of Liverpool's heavy metal football as Jürgen Klopp described it once.

His free-kicks against Chelsea and Crystal Palace are some of Liverpool's best goals scored this campaign.

Liverpool depend on their fullbacks to burst ahead and compliment the two speedsters in Salah and Mane upfront.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has donned that role brilliantly this season and already has 3 goals and 12 assists to his name.
