The Olympic Esports Series 2023 is a global virtual and simulated sports competition, created by the IOC, and in collaboration with International Federations (IFs) and game publishers.

The Olympic Esports Series 2023 begins March 1st , when both professional and amateur players from around the world are invited to take part in qualification rounds across the featured games.

The Olympic Esports Series 2023 will culminate in live, in-person finals for the first time, with players having the opportunity to progress to the Olympic Esports Finals 2023. Taking place at Singapore’s Suntec Centre 22 – 25 June, the finals action will be a highlight of the recently announced Olympic Esports Week 2023.

From April 1st to May 5th April 2023, there was a series of qualifiers. Starting with Stage 1 where only the best players advanced to Stage 2 and lastly Stage 3. On May 5th we found out which 8 players from Stage 3 will be flying to Singapore to compete in the Olympic Esports Finals.

Qualifier Stage 1: April 1st - April 7th
Qualifier Stage 2: April 13th - April 22nd
Qualifier Stage 3: May 4th - May 5th

The final will take place on June 24th in Singapore at the Olympic Esports Week 2023. Both spectators and qualified players can attend the Olympic Esports Finals 2023 at the Suntec Singapore Arena.

The Chess finals of the Olympic Esports Series 2023 will take place on 24 June 2023, with 4 players making it into the Finals Day which will include both a bronze trophy match and the gold medal match.
The preliminary rounds will conclude on 23 June, after which the top 4 players will battle it out for the trophy the following day. Players will have to bring their A-game, as the single-elimination knockout format leaves no room for errors.
