バイオグラフィー

Xaver Frick was one of Liechtenstein's most prominent figures in sport. In 1935, he was one of the founding members of the Liechtenstein National Olympic Committee. Himself part of the country's first delegation to the Summer Olympics, he competed in sprint events at Berlin. An active skier and mountaineer, Frick participated also in the 1948 Winter Olympics, as a cross country skier. This made him the first - and, at the moment of his death, only - Liechtenstein athlete to compete in both the Winter and Summer Olympics. But Frick also remained active as an official, co-founding the Liechtenstein Sports Association in 1936, and being a prominent figure in various sports clubs of the principality. For 38 years, he was the president of the national athletics and gymnastics federation, while also serving as the NOC secretary and, ultimately, president (1961-1970).

Personal Bests: 100 – 11.5 (1936); 200 – 23.0 (1939).
