バイオグラフィー

Roger Turner was the first great American figure skater, whose career began on the ponds around Milton, Massachusetts. His first big win was the 1926 US Junior singles championship. Turner was US Champion for seven consecutive years, 1928-34, still a record, later tied by Dick Button. He competed at the World Championships in 1928 and 1930-32, finishing second in 1930-31, and fifth in 1928 and 1932. He would become a lawyer, graduating from Suffolk Law School. Turner represented the Skating Club of Boston and served as a figure skating judge in his later years.
