Oliver Dinsdale WRIGHT

Oliver Wright was a Jamaican boxer who competed at the 1968 and 1972 Olympic Games. He won a bronze medal at 81 kg at the 1970 Central American and Caribbean Games and later that year a silver medal at the 1970 British Commonwealth Games in the same weight class. Wright later turned professional, fighting as a pro from 1973-81. He compiled a career record 16 wins (8 by KO), 16 losses and 1 draw. He fought many big-name fighters, including Larry Holmes, Earnie Shavers, Oscar Bonavena, and Tim Witherspoon, although he lost to all of them.
