バイオグラフィー

Lars-Göran Arwidson participated in three Olympics and at least six world championships. The highlights of his career were a bronze medal with the Swedish relay team in 1968 and a bronze medal in the 20 km race at Sapporo in 1972. After two shootings Arwidson was in the lead but at the third shooting station, he had two misses, costing him the gold by one shot. He was less successful in the World Championships, with his best position in individual races being a ninth place in the 1974 sprint race. Arwidson started as a cross-country skier but was also fond of hunting and so the thought came to him to combine skiing with shooting. After his competitive career, he was national coach for a few years, but later worked as a real estate agent. His son Tobias also competed internationally.
