Having finished fifth in the 1907 World Championships at Vienna, Gwendolyn Lycett finished second to Keiller Greig in the Public Schools International Challenge Cup at Celerina, Switzerland, the following year. Also in 1908, she finished fifth at the Olympics and was crowned that years St. Moritz Skating Association’s lady champion. Lycett competed in her second World Championship at Davos in 1912, when she finished fourth, just being edged out of a medal by her compatriot Phyllis Johnson.
