Fred Faller won the AAU 10 mile championship and cross-country titles in 1919-20. He ran for the Dorchester Club. Faller was born in Germany but came to the US at 2-years-old with his parents. His winning time of about 52 minutes in the 1919 AAU race was considered a US record for almost 40 years. Faller coached Boston Marathon legend John A. Kelley.

Faller was later a President of the New England Chapter of USA Olympians. He was a watchmaker who worked for a number of years with the Bigelow-Kennard Company of Boston, but then started his own watch business in Roslindale Square.

Personal Best: 10000 – 32:05.2 (1919).
