Born in South Sudan, Dominic lost both his parents in an attack on his village in 2007. At nine, he fled to Kenya, finding refuge in the Kakuma Refugee Camp before joining the IOC Refugee Athletes Support Programme. In Kenya, running has been a means for him to improve his life.

In 2019, he sought asylum in Switzerland, and since then, he has lived and trained there under the guidance of his coach, Markus Hagmann. Since then, he has claimed bronze in the 5000m and gold in the 10,000m at the European Championships in Rome for his host country.

Dominic is also a Diamond League winner and will compete as a part of the IOC Refugee Olympic Team in Paris 2024. He is looking forward to the opportunity to compete in the Games and hopes to one day represent his host country.
