Anirban Lahiri impressed in the junior circuit with his first win coming at the Asian Junior Team Championships in 2005.
To follow his dreams, he moved to Bengaluru in 2005 to train under coach Vijay Divecha.
Anirban Lahiri enjoyed several wins on the national amateur circuit in the next few years, including a team silver at the 2006 Doha Asian Games.
