Angie Wester-Krieg swam in college for San José State University, graduating in 1986. She was primarily a butterfly swimmer who never won a US Championship, but she was third in the 100 fly at the 1991 US Open, and third in the 200 fly at the 1991 US Spring Nationals. Wester-Krieg competed at two Pan American Games, winning gold in 1991 in the medley relay, and adding silvers that year in both relays. She returned in 1995 to win a bronze in the 100 fly. Wester-Krieg later became a tax accountant.
