バイオグラフィー

Albert Hassler competed with the French ice hockey team in three Olympic Winter Games, in 1924, 1928, and 1936. At the 1923 European Championships he won a silver medal with his team, winning gold in 1924. At home, he played for his hometown club, the Chamonix HC, winning the French title seven times – 1923, 1925-1927, 1929-1931. At the 1924 Winter Olympics, Hassler also competed in speed skating, but he withdrew after the first event, the 500 m. Since 1978, the Albert Hassler trophy has been awarded to the best French player in the top French League. In 2009 he was inducted into the French Hockey Hall of Fame. His daughter Nicole won four medals at European and World Championships in figure skating. She also competed at the 1960 and 1964 Winter Olympics.

Personal Bests: 500 – 48.6 (1926); 1500 – 2:37.4 (1927); 5000 – 9:28.6 (1927); 10000 – 19:10.8 (1927).
