French biathlete Quentin Fillon Maillet enjoyed an incredible Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 when he won five medals and came within seconds of a record-breaking... sixth. Before Beijing no biathlete had won five medals at the same Olympics, and Fillon Maillet was the first to do it and within days the Norwegian Johannes Thingnes Boe and Marte Olsbu Roeiseland achieved the same feat. The 29-year-old topped the Beijing podium in the men’s 20km individual and the men’s 12.5km pursuit. His silver medals came in the men’s 10km sprint, the men’s 4 x 7.5km relay and the mixed 4x6 km relay. Amazingly he almost made it six medals in six events but had to settle for fourth in his final event - the 15km mass start.
