Emblem
Poster
Half a maple leaf stands out against a white background. This symbol of Canada is revisited here in the blue and green tones, both strong and cold, that can be found in the Vancouver region. On the basis of this colour pallet characteristic of the visual identity of the Games, textures and graphic designs grow and interlock, referring to the landscapes of the region: its fauna, flora and even its urban elements. In the top right of the poster, the Games emblem can be seen.
The concept for the poster took only a few hours to find. The different motifs were then created by hand over a period of several weeks, then assembled digitally. Artist: Ben Hulse, Vancouver Organising Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Printing: Canadian Art Prints Inc.
