India’s campaign at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 begins with a clash against New Zealand at the Dubai International Stadium on Friday. The highly-anticipated India vs Pakistan fixture is scheduled on Sunday, October 6.
The 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup will be the ninth edition of the premier women’s T20 cricket tournament. Ten top teams from across the globe will be playing for glory from October 3 to 20.
For the group stage of the competition, the 10 teams have been divided into two groups. After round-robin group stage fixtures, the top two teams from each group will head into the semi-finals.
The Indian women’s cricket team has been drawn in Group A with record six-time champions Australia, rivals Pakistan, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

Following their engagements against New Zealand and Pakistan, India will go up against Sri Lanka on October 9 before engaging reigning champions Australia for their final group game on October 13 in Sharjah.
Harmanpreet Kaur and Co.’s first three matches are scheduled at the Dubai International Stadium.
The Indian cricket team will head into the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 riding high on back-to-back wins in the warm-up matches against the West Indies and South Africa.
After defeating the Windies by 20 runs in the first warm-up, India downed last year’s runners up South Africa by 28 runs in the second preparatory match.
