How to watch Team USA athletes in action at Tokyo 2020 in the coming hours, including men’s 200m finals
Team USA continue their medal hunt on day twelve of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, Wednesday 4th August (Tue. evening and early Wed. morning in the U.S.).
Day twelve of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 in Japan has potential for more medals for the United States team on the athletics track on Wednesday, August 3 (Tuesday evening & early Wednesday in the U.S.).
Team USA could be on the podium in nine of the sports that handing out medals during the day.
The focus will be on the men’s 200m final and the women’s 400m hurdles final - both races where the U.S. have high hopes for success.
Which of the two favourites between the current world record holder Sydney McLaughlin and the second-fastest woman over the distance Dalilah Muhammad will clinch the Olympic gold? And, how fast will they run?
Also watch out for Team USA sailing pair of Stuart McNay and David Hughes in the 470 class final.

Athletics
The U.S. team has a strong representation in the finals for the men’s 200m and women’s 400m hurdles, as well as the 3000m steeplechase.
World record holder McLaughlin goes in as the favourite in the 400m hurdles - a race in which the U.S. could sweep the podium. Former world record holder and reigning Olympic gold medallist Muhammad and Anna Cockrell also qualified for the final that is set for 11:50am JST (19:50 Tuesday in California).

Also, keep an eye on the women’s steeplechase final, where Emma Coburn chases another Olympic medal after the bronze at Rio 2016. Coburn, the first American woman to win an Olympic medal in the steeplechase and a world title at London 2017, will be joined by Valerie Constien and Courtney Frerichs in the race which is at 20:00 JST (0500 in Coburn's hometown, Boulder, Colo.).

Sprinting star Noah Lyles, the 2019 world champ, is tipped to medal in the 200m at his first Olympics. Erriyon Knighton and Kenneth Bednarek are the other two Americans in the final, though Lyles had to get through on time - not qualifying directly. The final track event of the day gets underway at 21:55 JST (08:55 in NYC).

Daniel Haugh and Rudy Winkler will line up in the men’s hammer throw from 20:15 JST.
Rio 2016 bronze medallist Clayton Murphy is Team USA’s solo medal hopeful in the men’s 800m that’s scheduled for 21:05 JST.
Sailing
Stu McNay and David Hughes were among the top ten teams that qualified for the medal race after finishing ninth in nine races. They are set to start their quest for Olympic hardware in the 470 class at 14:33 JST.
Marathon swimming: Women's 10km
Olympic silver medallist Haley Anderson and Ashley Twichell will dive in for the 10km marathon swimming event that gets underway at 06:30am JST (14:30 Tuesday in California). Anderson is one of the medal favourites.
Basketball
The U.S. women’s basketball team have a tricky quarter-final encounter with Australia. The Aussies stunned the Americans, who are chasing a seventh consecutive title, in a warm-up game before the Tokyo Olympics. That basketball game takes centre stage at 13:40 JST.
Boxing
Two bronze medals will be up for grabs, for Oshae Jones in the women’s welter weight at 14:48 JST, and the men’s super-heavy involving Richard Torrez Jr. is at 15:18 JST.
Volleyball, Water Polo
The other quarter-finals involving Team USA will be the indoor women’s volleyball match against the Dominican Republic. That starts at 13.00 JST - as well as the men's water polo team, who meets Spain from 14:00 JST.
Baseball
U.S. baseball will go up against the Dominican Republic, as well, in the round 2 Repechage at 12:00 JST (that’s 11pm EST). The U.S needs to win to advance to a second semi-final against either Japan or South Korea to try and move on to the gold medal game.
Wrestling
The wrestling trio of Patrick Gilman (men’s 57kg), Helen Louise Maroulis (women’s 57kg) and David Morris Taylor (men's 86kg) will be on the mats seeking qualification in the round of 16 in freestyle wrestling from 11:30 JST.
Sport climbing and skateboarding
After the exciting debut on Tuesday, sport climbing continues on Wednesday. American youngsters Kyra Condie and Brooke Raboutou, two of the 20 women qualified for the Olympics, will be in action. They will compete in the speed qualification at 17:00 JST, the bouldering qualification at 18:00 JST and wind up the day with qualification in the lead at 21:10 JST. Eight climbers make Friday's final.
Skateboarding is new in the Games too. Last week it was the street discipline, this week it's park. Brighton Zeuner, Jordyn Barratt and Bryce Wettstein are set to compete for Team USA in the women's event from 11:00am JST.
Golf - women's
After Xander Schauffele won gold for the U.S. in men's golf, it's the turn of the women. A loaded Team USA includes sisters Nelly and Jessica Korda, Lexi Thompson, and Danielle Kang. Ranked No.1 in the world, Nelly tees off first at 08:14 JST.
