Day 14 of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, in 2021, is underway, with the men's race walk getting things started on Friday, August 6 (Thursday evening & early Friday in the U.S.).
It’s another action packed day in athletics inside the Olympic Stadium too, with many U.S. competitors taking part.
The focus will be on the women's 400m final, where six-time Olympic champion and nine-time medallist Allyson Felix could become the most decorated female in Olympic athletics history, and the men’s 5000m where Paul Chelimo wants to better his silver from Rio 2016.
Also, watch out for Team USA’s finalists in the women’s beach volleyball gold medal match, as April Ross and Alix Klineman have dropped just one set in six matches played. Meanwhile, Gable Steveson has a shot at gold in the wrestling men’s freestyle 125kg final.

Athletics
Athletics continues to take centre stage and day 14 could be a historic day on track.
Seventeen years after her first Olympics at Athens 2004, Allyson Felix will line up for another final in Tokyo hoping to better her already illustrious record medal haul.
If she makes the podium, the 35-year-old will become the most decorated woman in athletics, an accolade she's currently tied for. You can’t miss that final, set for 21:35 JST (8:35am ET, 5:35am PT in her home state of California - Friday morning).

Ross won silver with Jennifer Kessy at London 2012, then teamed up with beach volleyball great Kerri Walsh Jennings for the bronze in 2016. This is Klineman's first Olympic Games.
Volleyball
Moving indoors, Team USA is just a match away from the final of the women's volleyball event if they can overcome Rio silver medallists Serbia in their semi-final that gets underway at 13:00 JST. Brazil meets the Republic of Korea in the second semi.
The U.S. women won bronze in Rio after capturing silver in 2008 and 2012. It's never won a women's volleyball gold indoors.

The Americans will have several wrestlers competing on the mat, but the headline will be Gable Steveson’s match. Steveson has not conceded a point in Tokyo, as he looks to bag the gold against Georgia’s Geno Petriashvili from 19:30 JST which is 6:30am ET.
