Ledecky, Biles, Dressel, Gauff, James among Team USA’s official list of athletes named for Paris 2024

The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee have announced the 592-member 2024 U.S. Olympic team ready to compete at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 beginning 26 July.

From icons of their sport defending their Olympic titles, to returning Olympians bent on improving their results, to promising collegiate athletes competing in their inaugural Games, and yes, teenage prodigies ready for the world stage—Team USA again features an historic depth of extraordinary talent, athleticism and passion.

Team USA includes 122 Olympic medallists and 66 Olympic champions. Those 66 returning champions have brought home a combined 110 gold medals!

Swimming has among the most prodigious returning medallists led by Katie Ledecky with 10 Olympic medals, including seven golds and three silvers. Caeleb Dressel enters Paris 2024 with seven medals, Ryan Murphy has six, and Lilly King and Simone Manuel each have five.

Gymnastics Simone Biles is heading to her third Olympic Games with seven medals (after she grabbed a historic ninth all-around U.S. Gymnastics crown), along with a stellar team including reigning Olympic all-around champion Sunisa Lee, and Team USA’s youngest athlete, 16-year-old Hezly Rivera ready to prove herself on the sport’s biggest stage.

Basketball’s Diana Taurasi is returning for her sixth Olympic Games, looking to add to her collection of five gold medals in as many Games, while NBA star Steph Curry is set to compete in his first Olympic Games with his eyes on his first Olympic gold medal.

Sha'Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles, Moore and Eaton looking for medals at Paris 2024

Team USA is sending two athletics favorites to top the podium in the 100m, with Noah Lyles, who is also a favored to better his bronze medal in the 200m, and Olympic debutant Sha’Carri Richardson in the spotlight and aiming for gold.

All eyes will be on two-time shot put gold medalist Ryan Crouser who is back to defend his title, along with Katie Moon defending women's pole vault champion, and Valarie Allman will be seeking a second straight gold in the women's discus.

Freshly-minted 400 hurdles world record holder Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone tops the women’s entrants in her event, while Grant Holloway has his eyes on gold in the 110m hurtles, after winning silver at Tokyo 2020.

The young US Open Tennis champ, Coco Gauff, has her eyes on medal(s) in Paris, with her sights set on singles, doubles and mixed.

Lebron James and Kevin Durant will lead an all-star basketball team as Durant looks for his fourth Olympic gold and James his third.

Carissa Moore will be looking to defend her surfing gold medal, with a new challenge at the big waves of Teahupo’o in Tahiti.

And Tokyo 2020 bronze medalist Jagger Eaton will be putting it all on the line in street skateboarding with his eyes on the top spot.
