Curry quickly made his mark with the Warriors, assuming the role of the team's starting point guard and averaging 17.5 points per game in his debut season. The team progressively improved under his leadership, characterised by his trademark long-range baskets.

In the 2012–13 and 2013–14 seasons, Curry led the league in three-pointers made (272 and 261, respectively). During the latter season, he earned his first All-Star selection.

In January 2015, he surpassed 1,000 three-pointers made in his 369th professional game, becoming at the time the fastest player to achieve the feat. That helped him on the way to winning his first NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) award as the Warriors clinched their first NBA title in 40 years, defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In the 2015–16 season, Curry made history by making a jaw-dropping 402 three-point shots, including a record-breaking 13 three-pointers in a single game against the Pelicans on November 7, 2016. He earned his second consecutive MVP award, becoming the first player in history to win the MVP title unanimously. Despite leading 3–1 in the finals series, the Warriors ultimately conceded the title to LeBron James' Cavaliers.

The following year he led the NBA in three-point field goals made (324) for the fifth straight season. The Warriors avenged their previous loss to the Cavaliers, securing Curry's second NBA title.

In December 2021, Curry passed another milestone by scoring his 2,974th career three-pointer, surpassing NBA legend Ray Allen's record for all-time three-pointers. That season he guided the Warriors to another NBA championship, earning his fourth ring.

With an incredible 42.6 career per cent success rate from beyond the arc, Curry is regarded as one of the greatest shooters and scorers in NBA history.

On the international stage, the husband of television personality Ayesha Disa Curry contributed to the USA's consecutive World titles in 2010 and 2014. Although he withdrew from consideration for the 2016 Olympics due to injury, Curry finally made his Games debut at Paris 2024, where he was vital in ensuring a fifth consecutive gold medal for the USA. In the final against hosts France, the 35-year-old scored 24 points (all from three-point range), including four three-pointers in the final three minutes to stop a late comeback from France and secure a 98-87 win.
