World and Olympic all-around artistic gymnastics champion Hashimoto Daiki won the horizontal bar to round off proceedings in the DTB-Pokal men's apparatus finals in Stuttgart on Saturday (18 March).

Hashimoto, who helped Japan to second place in Friday's Team Challenge behind the United States, had qualified in first for two finals but elected not to contest the pommel horse.

He scored 14.500 on the apparatus he took gold on at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in 2021 to claim victory ahead of Swiss Taha Serhani (14.066) and Canada's Felix Dolci (13.700).

In Hashimoto's absence, Italy's Edoardo De Rosa took gold on pommel horse with a 14.700 ahead of Japan's Tanigawa Kakeru (14.466).

Another Japanese gymnast, Doi Ryosuke, prevailed on floor thanks to a score of 14.500 with USA's Yul Moldauer (14.233) in second.

Adem Asil of Turkiye came out on top on rings with 14.600, just ahead of Italy's Marco Lodadio (14.500).

After his second place in the Baku World Cup last weekend, Britain's Harry Hepworth went one better in Stuttgart on vault. His average of 14.866 saw him claim a comfortable win from Brazil's Yuri Guimaraes (14.416).

Italy's Mario Macchiati posted 14.533 to take the parallel bars title with Serhani (14.300) in second and Turkiye's Olympic bronze medallist Ferhat Arican (14.266) third.

Winter Cup vault champion Joscelyn Roberson won the women's vault final on Sunday ahead of home gymnast Karina Schoenmaier. Roberson also competes in the floor final later on Sunday. Full coverage of the women's apparatus finals is here.
