The men’s FIFA World Cup 2034 is heading to Saudi Arabia for the first time.
It was confirmed on 11 December 2024 at the Extraordinary FIFA Congress that the global men’s football tournament will take place in the Middle East, following the inaugural edition in Qatar in 2022.
Saudi Arabia submitted a list of 15 stadiums in five cities across the country, including eight in the capital Riyadh and four in Jeddah.
The dates are yet to be confirmed for the 2034 World Cup, nor is it determined whether the tournament will be played in the typical tournament months of June and July, or in November and December, as was the case for Qatar 2022.
Forty-eight countries, including hosts Saudi Arabia, will compete at the 25th edition of the World Cup. The format changed from 32 teams to 48 teams after the 2022 World Cup.
Here are all the venues which are set to host the 2034 World Cup.
